2009/ 2010

I didn't do a year-end/ year-beginning post like everyone did, because I've been kinda occupied by everything, so I'm gonna do it now. I'll start with the day I watched Avatar.

30 Dec 09, Wednesday

My mom surprised me in the middle of the morning that she had decided to watch Avatar that very day. So, naturally, I was pretty much excited and hurriedly went to check all the cinemas with free seats for Avatar in 3D. GV Plaza Sing and all the other places, and Lido, were Fully. Booked. Except for the front three rows, of course. The rest was packed solid, and I swear I've never seen anything like that before.

Naturally, with all the hype surrounding Avatar, we went with extremely high expectations. I daresay my dad's expectations were fulfilled, and my mom's too, but I think my brother was a tad disappointed because it was kinda like Ferngully. As for me, I went in expecting something truly, truly epic, but no, it wasn't as good as Star Wars. I read a review that said it was as good as Star Wars, but damn, no way in hell was it.

But overall it was pretty good, I must say. I love the special effects, the general idea is really brilliant - the idea of an avatar representing Sully on Pandora was really, really cool. And the last bit was really epic. I also like Sully; all those disabled people out there who've done something recognisable in your life, I really respect you all a LOT. Though Worthington's performance as a paralysed from waist down dude wasn't very convincing, he was good overall. Especially the last scene, where he was choking on the air and he pushed his chair away in his haste.

Anyway, this isn't complete without a brief image of the amazing special effects that went on - seen in a poster.

31 Dec 09, Thursday

Sher-Yin and Johnny came over! Honestly, I can't believe I made such great friends over a tour - all I was expecting was a couple of Facebook friends, whom my brother defined as 'hardly called friends'. But whoa, look man, we've met once, and expecting to meet again!

K so they came to our house, where we first camwhored like mad with my brother's Photobooth - it was SO EPIC, and we recorded our own version of Disturbia which was, well, pretty disturbing. But it was really fun :) And then I played Poptrop for Sher-Yin, hahah that stupid girl was still so freaked even in Time Tangled >D Come on la Sheryin, FINISH IT ALL YOURSELF MAN! Hahah it's really fun, trust me.

We went to play Bridge/ Taiti after that :D We always looked at our cards before finally deciding what game to play, and once Sher-Yin and I wanted Taiti but Johnny and my brother wanted Bridge, so we scissors paper stoned hahah stupid boys they won us both ): Both scissors to paper too hmph.

But anyway after they left (I miss them they gotta come more!) we watched Transformers 2. It was like Mission Impossible 3: all action and no substance. I like Bumblebee, though.

Then went to Old Airport Road for dinner. It ended in something so freaking pathetic, stupid, and BLOODY IRRITATING because of my dad who flared up like hell at my brother over a stupid, ugly bottle. It's not like it's a fifteen dollar Nike bottle, it's just an ugly bottle from a hotel in Taiwan man, what the heck. Just because he didn't save it doesn't mean you had to scream at him like that and ruin all our new years.

Yes, so we went to Tanjong Rhu from there, where we practically all separated but ended up sitting on the same groundsheet looking at fireworks partially blocked by the building. No one was talking to each other because we were all pissed at one another about something, all because of my stupid father who couldn't control himself on the last day of the year.

01 Jan 10, Friday

I don't remember much of what happened yesterday, actually. I really don't. I think we spent a large amount of the day playing cards and eating ordered in pizza. I remember that we watched Shinjuku Incident, though, and the part where the dude's hand got cut off was just disgusting. de_caveman , HOW DO YOU WATCH ALL THAT GORE MOVIES MAN.

02 Jan 10, Saturday

Went to my uncle's house to play cards and play with the dog :D I love their Lab Retriever, she's really pretty and sweet and totally mad <3

Also, found out 408'10 teachers, I like/ don't know most of them haha!

English: Ms Picca (!!! WHOO)
Chinese: Li Jun Xiang
Math: Someone called Wee-Lim YH, whoever the hell that is.
Bio: CatWong, whoopie.
Chem: LimBE, again, whoopie.
Geog: KohBY, whoever that is. Not Lucille's good enough for me.
Lit: Joyce Yap, ARGH.
SS: BCHEW, WHOO.
Philo: LimEY
PE: Sean Yeoh (:D)

K so that's it, I'm fine with it I guess :)

I'm not a big fan of resolutions, though, so I'm not gonna have them. But whatever, I don't have resolutions, I have wishes.

[edit/]
I can't wait for school, I miss you 308/408, and I can't wait to see Ms Picca as our co-FT :)

Dr. Grace (Avatar): Just clear your head and let your mind go blank. That shouldn't be too hard for you.

WHOO NEW HEADER. I like this a lot better, even though Hugh Laurie's kinda cut off ):

K anyway another post tomorrow when Sher-Yin and Johnny come over :D Avatar is epic though, just a short mention and preview of what I'm posting tomorrow. I respect Sully a lot, even though his surname kinda sucks.

James Cameron is a good director. Really, really good director. He waited 15 years for the technology to create Avatar, how cool is that! But that's just one side of his overall coolness hoho :D

(fellyfied is weird.
I gotta feeling (whoohoo)

In 2007, we started out as a very promising batch - the biggest 45th ever had, with the highest number of enthu people willing to do something, anything, for 45th.

In 2009, going on 2010, we have deteriorated to a very, very, very fail batch. Probably one of the worst 45th ever had, with the highest number of unenthu people unwilling to do anything for 45th.

There you go - summary of what batchoh'10 has become over the years.

We can't even have a successful batch meeting, we can't even do anything much with the pathetic attendance. Come on, how could we ever want to carry on Cantata with such a Great leading batch?

House: Personally, I can't believe I've had the same employees for three years.

I can't believe what I just gave away

Plock is the most brainless game ever, but also very fun. If my mouse wears out even faster than it already does because of Bejeweled, it's because of Plock.

I miss Taiwan and I wanna go IMM with the nianqingren and Yi Yang D: Stupid Jonathan la, he's not free any day after 27th ): And they come back on 27th!

Oh, and I have a stalker. That Jun Wei is stalking me omg, he smsed me 10 times the day after Taiwan, twice yesterday, and just smsed me again. I'm gonna ignore him :D He asked me to go out with him la what the heck, no way am I gonna do that. If I go out with anyone from the family I'll rather go out with his seven-year-old brother: HE IS FREAKING CUTE omg. And I don't usually say kids are cute cos they're usually irritating but he's an exception cos he is too cute omg :D

[edit/]
(Also, my LJ is cranky. Everything becomes one huge paragraph when I post, so I have to redo all the enters and spaces. Argh.)

House: What's the largest organ?
Chase: Skin.
House: We need to get a piece.
Foreman: Sure, we'll just wait until he leaves the room without his skin, sneak in, and take a piece.

Come back to me

Taiwannn <3 day-by-day post, as promised, and omg I miss it already D:

111209 – Day 1
Flight from Singapore to Taipei, night market
Comfortable weather, slight drizzle
Airplane lunch, good night market food

So, hello. I’ll write as though I’m posting on LiveJournal. Today I can proudly say that I have eaten chou tofu in my life before :) Okay so basically, reached Changi Airport at 10.30 (when we were supposed to reach at 10.20, I hate being late man), i.e. 10 mins late from the meeting time. Met the tour leader, Yi Yang, in person. Omg Mummy told him that he has nice complexion to his face, I was so freaking embarrassed la please. And that he has nice glasses and stuff zomg. Hee anyway I like my luggage bag :)

The flight wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be, and for once I actually ate properly! The mashed potatoes and chicken were really good, hoho. THE MASHED POTATOES HAD BUTTER IN IT WHOO. And I wanted to watch Valkyrie so bad but they didn’t have it (I think it was in the November catalogue?) so I watched Up instead :) it’s quite a good show la, but not as good as the other Pixar films? On the way back I’ll watch Public Enemies, JOHNNY DEPP WHOO.

K anyway when we reached Taoyuan International Airport near Taipei, we checked into our hotel after a 1h20min long ride – cos of the jam D: it’s as dark at 5pm in Taiwan as it is at 8.30pm in Singapore -.- Our tour guide wasn’t there yet so we got this guy called 高导游. Yep so we got room 823 :) the boy and I shared a room, and well it’s pretty small but I like it hoho. We met our tour guide, 洪导游, but he insisted we call him 小洪 hahah.

After that we went to Raohe Night Market, 绕河夜市. The prices are Mindblowing la, everything is super cheap and the food is gooood :D we ate a lot of good food like the Japanese quiche thing and the chicken and the Slice of Ice thing and the beef noodles (which weren’t great anyway hahah) and stuff! Rachel told me about the shooting balloons thing and I SAW IT but Someone didn’t let me play D: please la it was so cheap okay. And omg the amazing cool sticks of sugar/ malt candy that tastes like candy floss!

Hee okay need to save ink :) waking up @ 7 tomorrow!

121209 – Day 2
Steamboat lunch and dinner, Taiwan House of Arts, Taipei 101
Comfortable weather, chillier than yesterday
Steamboat lunch, personal steamboat dinner

So hi. Today was essentially pretty boring. We went to some Taiwan museum, where there was a fair thing outside – hahah pretty ironic, really. I saw Tina! The PSL’09. Yep, but we didn’t really do much and it was pretty boring. I didn’t buy any food cos it was lunch after that, and the museum was boring la.

Lunch was at 11.30am, like SERIOUSLY. I was so freaking full, I couldn’t even finish a third of a bowl of rice and hardly ate any food. We sat with the Tham family – the sec3 daughter is from SC but they don’t really talk much D: I wanna make friends! It’s super boring la.

Then we went to Taipei 101, which is this super tall building, like siriuzly tall. You have to pay to take an elevator up all the way! (But we didn’t go up cos there wasn’t much of a view – how pretty can Taipei get, right? It’s mostly like a city slum in the quieter places :/) And there’s this Ion-like place with all the super high-class shops like Chanel so we went to the shopping mall next door hahah. The iPod nano’s like $140! Zomg we have to buy an iPod here <3 and I confirmed my suspicion that this girl was really familiar – she’s from RGPS 6E’06! Hahah I haven’t asked for her name yet though, v. shy meh.

We took a picture with Yi Yang too, that dude’s really scared of cold omg, I was wearing my jacket and he was huddling behind his bag when he talked to my mom HAHAH IT WAS FUNNY. Rest of the day was travelling to Hualien and dinner – on some cool railway thing that was kinda like the MRT. Hahah listened to Westlife on the way and waved to the boy via the window HAHAH IT WAS SO EPIC cos the window was reflective and we waved to each other from opposite sides of the train :D

Dinner was personalized steamboat, and I decided that the only drinkable kinda soups were the clear veggie kinds like mine :D I dumped loads of cabbage inside but didn’t eat any heehee cos I just wanted the taste! My parents’ and brother’s were all meaty and not nice :/

We roomed at Hualien, room 820. Hahah it’s a pretty small place, and I cleverly locked ourselves out HAHAH. We went around shops, and there was this shop which sold super cheap socks and NAIL POLISH MAN :) I ALSO SAW WHERE WE ARE OMG, I WANT.

K so I’m sleeping soon :D it’s v. late, 11.30 pm, and I’m beat.

Still need to save ink D: won’t last 8 days at this rate.

Waking up at 7.30am and omg I hate morning calls – who wants to hear a phone the first thing in the morning?

Eh I forgot the traditional arts house thing. CANDYFLOSS! Whoopie yay! And dragon beard candy :D And there was this shop that sold pretty glass figurines and they were quite cheap lor, but I couldn’t buy them D: they were so pretty okay! Ahh I want D:

131209 – Day 3
Jade factory, gorge, ice cream, hot springs
Pretty hot sun, cool wind Typical Chinese food

Woke up at 7.30am to go to the gorges, most of which was really pretty :) I took some good shots hoho I’m so proud of myself. They’re like those scenery powerpoints people always use. Mom was sulking cos Daddy was being stupid but after a while it was fine when she made him hug her. Sheesh, can’t he be a bit more normal and go hug/ kiss her like a normal husband should do. K anyway I kinda liked the gorges la :) we had to wear hard hats in case of falling rocks!

Then we went for lunch. Sat with the Thams again. They’re quite boring, heh. After that we went to the Jade Factory at Hualien, where it was kinda boring la hahah. Learnt about the cats’ eye jade which was pretty cool, and the ice jade which was cool too, but literally :) Yea so we continued traveling and stopped for ice cream! It was this shop recommended by小洪. I got chocolate + mint and we treated Yi Yang to a cone :) he’s really nice la, hope he does well in uni :D

Yep then dinner, and then we arrived at the pretty hotel OMG IT IS SO PRETTY I TELL YOU, there were two huge beds each king-sized so Yongy and I got a bed each :D there was a hot spring there which supposedly delivered spring water, but I was kinda lazy to go in heh. So Yongy is 泡-ing now, and I just made coffee for self. Omg it seriously sucks la ._.

OKAY THE PARENTS ARE HERE HEEHEE CAN PLAY CARDS BYE :D

141209 – Day 4
Pearl factory, farm DIY activities, armed lighthouse
Cool
Chinese food

K so today we went to the pearl factory for a bit. It’s really quite pretty la, I like pearls a lot :D but the woman was so irritating okay, her sales pitch was so aggressive and she kept following Mom even though she said she didn’t want to buy any already. And I wanted to tell her to shut up and sod off oh my gosh.

Yep then we went to the armed lighthouse yay :D lighthouse <3 Yongy and I took pictures of the lighthouse, like us holding the lighthouse or touching the tip of the lighthouse hahahah. There was this boy called Jun Wei who started talking to Yongy too. But we didn’t spend much time there :/ mostly just went there, took pictures, bye!

But most of the day was spent travelling D: it was like this 3-hour journey on the bus, then a 15-minute train ride on this supposedly super-fast train which turned out to just be something slightly faster than our MRT -.- cheat my feelings la. I know that 6E’06 girl’s name already! It’s Sher-Yin :D we really clicked la hahah, talked non-stop on the train ride and the bus ride to the hotel after that, hoho.

When we reached the farm place we played really fun games and sparklers! I was on a lucky streak hoho, I pushed the beer cup into the square on the first try, threw two hoops around the Heineken bottles (when I usually can’t at all!), lifted the bottle standing with a hoop attached to a ribbon and a stick, and got the bottle with the lightstick twice :D Heehee. And omg after that we were the second last to get to our log cabins ): but they were SUPER PRETTY omg seriously, very woody and cosy and nice :) and even though the toilet is small I like it a lot still heh, and I got a whole king-sized bed to myself again!

Heehee yes today was a good day <3

151209 – Day 5
Water cycling, Forest trail, Sun Moon lake
Very. Hot. But cool wind :D
Chinese food, again.

Today the five kids took the back row :) Sher-Yin, me, Yongy, Jonathan and Jun Wei :) Hahah 小洪 called us the 五个年轻人 <3 Hahah we wanted to play cards but ended up listening to music instead! Sher-Yin has an iPod, I want D:

K anyway water cycling is DAMN FUN hahaha I got the rudder! I love ruddering hahah, I think I’m a control freak seriously! I must control something :/ but anyway overall it was a really short day la, they went to this temple which we didn’t go into, and the shops outside sell a lot of canes :/ reminds me of House, though <3

Yep then we went to this forest trail thing, the kids and Mom/ Daddy were lagging behind cos we took so many jumpshots and pictures! But we had such a great time talking hahah, oh man super fun <3 and we somehow took a right short cut and we got to the designated stopping place EARLIER than some of the others HAHAH, super epic omg.

Camwhored at Sun Moon lake hahah, jumpshots ftw! :D hahah we practised a lot of them, and decided to keep practicing until we get a perfect one on the last day :) we also went to 7-Eleven after that hahah it was super fun and Daddy was talking to Yi Yang in Cantonese -.- cos he’s from Hong Kong! Our hotel’s pretty small though, but the beds are cool :D they’re like two beds embedded into a piece of wood, really pretty :D the kids were playing bridge yay.

It’s such an early day today so we had a lot of time hoho. And Mom/ Dad and Sher-Yin and Johnny’s parents joined us, plus Jun Wei! Hahah omg we had such a great time playing Indian poker and CHINESE POKER HAHAH SELF-INVENTED NAME.

And Sher-Yin told her mom that Mummy had Facebook, ‘Mom, she has Facebook!’, and her mom suddenly got super excited and immediately went ‘OH WHAT GAME YOU PLAY!’ HAHAH IT WAS SUPER FUNNY LA.

K so today was a good day too cos the last bit was so fun!

161209 – Day 6
Cultural thing, theme park!, evening market
Hot and cold – especially the morning
Chinese food and driftwood restaurant dinner

Heehee hello the kids are here :D Jun Wei’s watching CSI (and talking non-stop), Johnny and Sher-Yin just came, and Yongy just finished his shower :) we’re rooming in Holiday Inn and it is SUPER PRETTY and Western hahah, but seriously it’s really nice and high-class and cool :D Hahah the kids are siriuzly pretty close after a few days lor, we had such a fun time playing/ talking last night hee. Now we’re gonna write letters to Yi Yang and XIAO HONG heehee :D

K anyway first we went to this cultural place which sold herbal stuff like royal jelly, and omg yesterday小洪 told us the answers to some questions that the guy was gonna ask, so the guy was like (in Chinese) ‘How long do queen bees live?’ and before I even registered the question I was like THREE YEARS, and I got two packets of mountain tea HAHA :) and then he asked ‘How long to worker bees live?’ and Sher-Yin was IMMEDIATELY ‘THREE MONTHS!’ omg super fun :D

Then we went to this theme park which was called Formosan Aboriginal Culture thing, HAHAH SUPER MISLEADING OKAY. We saw this aboriginal performance omg the nearly-naked men thing was FREAKING EPIC. Sher-Yin and I were laughing throughout omg DAMN FUNNY LA HAHAHA.

Then we went to the theme park proper! Took a cable car first, then went to this Gold Mine Adventure THREE TIMES hahah which was actually pretty fun hoho. Johnny only went the first time though, cos he was scared of heights :/ But we couldn’t take the others which sucks D: like Space Mountain and Caribbean Splash and so on. And they said this Balloon Carousel (the thing that goes round and round) was MILD, but I nearly wanted to puke after I went on lor, cos it just went round and round and round meh.

Then we went to this evening market with Sher-Yin’s family, but we ended up not buying anything -.- cos couldn’t buy food cos it was dinner after and the shops didn’t sell anything particularly exciting anyway.

Overall it was such a fun day omg! Dinner was in the driftwood restaurant so it was in stone bowls an stuff so it was super cool!

Okay we’re gonna write letters now bye :D

171209 – Day 7
Afternoon market, Shilin night market, museum
Very, very cold and rainy
Chinese food, night market food
Today's second last day omg ): travelled 3 hours to Taipei, and on the way we went to a market! There was this cool thing with a lot of small rocks on a bigger rock and a sign that said ROCK CONCERT super cute ohmygosh <3 so we got one yay! And Sher-Yin’s mom bought this pipa thing for us, only it was in cool small shapes like an aeroplane (the one I got) and frogs (the one Sher-Yin got) and helicopters (the one Yongy got) and other cool stuff like ducks etc. Yea but there was this tourist place which sold food and so many tour groups chionged the place it was SO. Crowded.

Hee then we went to some museum thing – it was really boring hahah ohmygosh, the five kids just strolled around not listening to小洪 hahah! OHOHOH AND WE GAVE 小洪 AND YI YANG THE LETTERS :D小洪 was funny hahah, he read the entire thing out :D and Johnny gave Yi Yang personally ahh last day ):

Shilin night market was such a disappointment la, even Raohe was cooler ): only bought earrings and the lime green version of my watch hoho. we ate this sandwich thing, chicken, oyster omelette and something else I think. We had milk tea and cranberry juice :D Hee yay and Sher-Yin got the same watch, and Johnny and Yongy got the same watch hahah super epic la. Sher-Yin’s family and Jun Wei’s family came along together too, and Yi Yang joined us! So it was super funny cos he was leading this Huge group of people to go around, I think he’s quite a good tour leader :)

We camwhored a lot in the hotel room with our watches :D and Johnny was telling us about how weird Yi Yang was, apparently he went up to him in the day after buying jelly and told him, ‘I’m buying jelly! –smiles- for my girlfriend eh!’ –walks off- HAHAH and Johnny was like uh, okay... HAHAH. We played cards too hoho, and Jun Wei said that he liked me like in that Like me way you know, it was super weird -.-

Ahh will miss this tour D: first time we actually made friends!

181209 – Day 8 (last day)
Stroll/ shop around Taipei
Cold and drizzling
Restaurant dim sum lunch, airplane dinner

Woke up at 8.15am today – particularly late cos it’s free and easy day. Sher-Yin’s family joined us (with Yi Yang leading) for shopping, and Yi Yang brought us to this Super Cheap shop to buy stuff :) I got nail polish, NOISE-CANCELING EARBUDS, more coloured socks hoho, and I wanted Where We Are again ):

K then it was dim sum lunch at this Chinese restaurant – it was pretty good, and we found out that all of us, even Yi Yang, live near Jurong and all like to go to IMM! :D Hee the 年轻人 plus Yi Yang must totally meet there one day la hahah <3

Computer place turned out to be like Sim Lim la, it was kinda boring ): didn’t even get anything hmph.

Occupied the last row for the last time on the bus to the airport ): camwhored for the last time on the back row too, with小洪 and Yi Yang in a shot. We camwhored quite a bit at Taoyuan Airport, then went onto the plane! I watched Public Enemies, Johnny Depp hoho <3 he died in the end though D: I GOT MASHED POTATOES AGAIN WHOOHOO, and they served Haagen-Dazs!

K so I MISS OUR TOUR GROUP & TAIWAN ALREADY D: Sher-Yin must upload photos NOW. And we need to go out together omg <3

Ahhh Taiwan'09 <3

Girlfriend: You been living here long?
John Dillinger: Yea, since yesterday.

Bye bye, miss American pie

OKAY SO HELLO YES I HAVEN'T POSTED IN EIGHT WHOLE DAYS. Because I was in Taiwan and I am now safely happily back home, missing everything that passed by in a blur during those eight days in Taiwan.

K I was in a tour, something I hadn't done in like, ten years? No, I mean literally ten years. And yes so I really didn't know what to expect, but on the first day I saw this girl and I was like omg she looks familiar, and the next day when we were in Taipei 101 she was like I'M FROM RGPS 6E and I'm like I'M FROM RGPS 6F and yes so we clicked. :D So her brother (Johnny!) and my brother became friends, and Sher-Yin and I became friends too :D Plus Jun Wei, we became the 五个年轻人! Hahah so yea overall I MISS IT A LOT plus the people XIAO HONG (tour guide) and YI YANG (tour leader) and JUN JIE (Jun Wei's freaking cute brother omg he is tiny and SUPER CUTE) and everyoneeee <3

More detailed post (day-by-day) tomorrow/ day after/ something, to help me remember everything I did cos I didn't write much in the diary to save ink heh. Omg and all of us live near the Jurong area and we all like IMM so we totally have to meet there one day to hang out hahahaha :D

OH AND I SAW A HOUSE TRAILER AND I GOT A GREEN VERSION OF MY WATCH AND I GOT NOISE-CANCELING EARBUDS AND COLOURED SOCKS AND FOOD YAY. Ahh okay Taiwan/ holiday withdrawal symptoms ):

Chase: Labs indicated minute traces of blood.
House: Can't ignore blood because it's a minority...can we, Foreman?

A to B to X

Roadside Crosses is freaking. epic. win. Kathryn Dance is so cool oh my gosh, seriously I love her job :D She's this brilliant body language expert who interviews people (witnesses and suspects) as a Special Agent, and she's really pro at it - even how she puts on her predator (black) specs while interviewing instead of her usual pink ones.

Also, she's practically a female version of Jeffery Deaver. It's like Deaver incoporated into a female character into one of his books. That's prettty disturbing, but it's the impression I get. And omg I hope Kathryn Dance gets with Michael O'Neil! :D

And after reading Roadside Crosses I've also discovered that we really give out too much info about ourselves online. Like this dude in the book, he posted somewhere that he liked running along a particular secluded jogging track. He was killed by the murderer (I refuse to announce the plot twist about who it is) who used that info against him. So yea, it's really pretty dangerous, like we just dump info about ourselves online - like 'oh I'm going overseas next Thursday', or 'Hey, that place's good to work out! I go there regularly, every Friday!' and stuff like that - you really never know who's out there waiting to getcha.

I love Lincoln Rhyme, he's freaking amazing. Oh man can't wait for the next LR book <3

House: So what do we do?
Stacy: We deal with each other.
House: Right, that plan's been working great so far.

When there are no more heroes

Got a new header, I know it's really ugly because I made it myself but I DON'T CARE MAN, it has Hugh Laurie, Johnny Depp and Tom Cruise on it <3 so yea I don't give a damn if it's ugly or not because I NEED A NEW HEADER cos the old one was super boring. And, whatever.

Got Roadside Crosses from Felly thank you Felly :D It's really good and I command you to read it!

Flag Day wasn't as good as last year. I hate our batch ponners okay they are freaking irritating. I mean if you're overseas or sick or something, but ponning just because you don't feel like coming? It's bloody embarrassing for the leading batch to have the most members but have the fewest turnout - three people came today. IT'S DAMN IRRITATING OKAY, it's YOUR responsibility as part of the batch, so just LIVE UP to it. You don't have to be in exco to have a responsibility. Being a part of the leading batch IS your responsibility, and if you can't even fulfill that, how can you want to be in exco?

Got a few Light the Way songs from Bee, thank you a lot <3

Going to Taiwan! Friday oh my gosh cannot wait :D

House: Dark religious nut...
Dr. Cole (surprised): What did you call me?
House: I'm sorry. What do you want to be called this week?
Dr. Cole: Cole.

Hello, f-list! Got this from eatyourlasagne , I like the idea :D

Step One
» Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a________ icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

» If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two
» Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

» If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it. You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy.

Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call. There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

Wishlist!
1. Westlife's Where We Are!
2. Light the Way CD + DVD :)
3. House/ Westlife/ Star Wars posters :D
4. That Star Wars calendar 2010 from HMV!
5. To go for Lighthouse's Christmas musical, and to go back to Lighthouse again.
6. To see Westlife live in Singapore!
7. An orange iPod nano 16GB/ iPod Touch
<s>8. Roadside Crosses, damnit. Been waiting too long.</s> THANK YOU fellyfied ! <3
9. No idea. I.e. SURPRISE ME.

There you go :)

Caretaker: You all right?
Johnny Blaze: Yea, I'm all right.

Where We Are is so good, thank you Hui for sending me the few songs :) I love Sound of a Broken Heart and How to Break a Heart, it's very Westlife and oh my gosh absolutely brilliant <3

So right now I'm just waiting for Light the Way, de_caveman WHERE ARE YOU. I need those LTW videos in high quality I'm dying of withdrawal symptoms!

Watched Pirates that day - Johnny Depp is freaking amazing, watched The Spiderwick Chronicles two nights ago, also really brilliant; Freddie Highmore is so cute :D, and watched P.S. I Love You last night. That was one of the rare instances the movie was better than the book, whoa, I mean seriously, the movie was actually pretty good. The book sucked big time, aside from the phrase 'sounds of her favourite Westlife CD'. Gerry is so sweet, but Gerard Butler doesn't do him justice in terms of looks :/

K dinner now :D

Maddy (dwarf patient): Are you high?
House: Higher than you.

Westlife <3

I haven't posted because I get limited access to the comp and I've really been doing too much in the short frame of time I have. So yea, been pretty hectic, even though I have nothing to do, sheesh.

Wanna watch Pirates later, the first one.

Cousin got married two days ago, wore my first dress in what, years. Pretty boring, but well.

Now have eight new shirts. Thankful break from non-wearable shirts in wardrobe, and have something to wear on holiday.

Garth Nix's Keys to the Kingdom series is in the CHILDREN'S SECTION in the library, HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE. Friday, but stillll :D :D :D

House: At the end of The Boy Who Cried Wolf, the wolf eats the boy, the sheep... and the parents.
Chase: The wolf doesn't eat the parents.
House: It does when I tell it.

Know that I'll be okay

I haven't posted properly in ages. Like, a whole week. Do you have any idea how long that is?

Anyway, UPDATES :D Exciting stuff has been happening recently, and I actually wrote out a post, but I'll save that for another day :) I haven't posted cos my computer access is limited now meh. So, here goes.

1. I got two shirts from edc/Esprit/ whatever they want to call themselves now :D I need clothes. Really urgently. Right now I have tees that I've had since I was P5 and they are so friggin ugly I can't believe I actually wore them. Got another one from Fox that day, and one from 9 to Nine, on the day my mom and I went shopping. My mom got three nice tops for ten bucks each cos they were on sale, two from Zara at twenty each, and two or three from Mango also at 15 - 20 each. It was cheap but nice clothes day. I got two belts.

2. WESTLIFE'S ALBUM IN ONE WEEK BEE DO YOU HEAR THAT?

3. I just watched Knowing (yes, call me slow) and it was pretty freaky at times (especially the EVERYONE ELSE part oh my gosh I was totally dead freaked) but it was GOOD.

4. Haven't been going for Dare! And I didn't go for extended praise and worship day.

5. I haven't submitted badgework. Oops.

6. COUSIN'S WEDDING THIS SATURDAY SO EXCITING.

7. TOUR BRIEFING THIS FRIDAY SO EXCITING EVEN THOUGH I HATE TOURS.

8. Packing next week - EVEN MORE EXCITING OH MY GOSHHHHHHH

K I think that's about it heh. Just to show everyone that I'm not dead yet :D Also, I like James Patterson. His books have this basic level of English that I think ten-year-olds can master, but I like the stories. They're interesting.

House: Patients always want proof. We're not making cars here, we don't give guarantees.

Before it's too late

Thursday

Arts Fest ushering. It was fun :) WE GOT FIRST FLOOR SEATS.

Friday

I was super pissed. Guess why? On Wed, Grace Ooi (who was the leader for all the ushers) assigned a few of us to usher VIPs, and I was already one of them. And on Friday (ref super bored entry), I stayed in school til super late and left at 4.20 so I could reach there at 5.30 like the teacher told us to the day before. And when I got there, oh! apparently I was LATE. We were all suddenly supposed to reach there at 3.30. And only SOME people got the message to do that, and others like Joanna, Grace Ooi herself, Joanna, etc, didn't. And when we got there we found out that we were doing THIRD floor duty instead - from VIP to third floor, I mean, what the shit? And guess why? Because we didn't turn up early. So now you're telling us that it's OUR fault when YOU didn't sms us to tell us to go early? What is your problem man, I mean okay whoopie you're in PSB'10 exco, that totally means you can throw your weight around and choose who you want to usher the VIPs when you're not even in charge. I was too tired to slap her.

Also, despite idiots, I found a great friend in Natalie :) We do so much crap together hahaha, go on drinking 100 Plus in 17 seconds! :D

Saturday

Brave. Poo wasn't there, found that Rachel had exactly the same sneakers as I do :D Fun songs. Went to get stuff after that, I kinda forgot what. OH WE WENT ORCHARD. CRYSTAL JADE IS DA BEST (DINNER) and my brother is SUCH a camwhore tsk.

Sunday

Yawn Yawn Yawnnnnn the parents' church. I found that Prince wore the same pink shirt as last week. The only thing I enjoyed hearing was that MJ accepted Christ 4 weeks before he died :D

Tomorrow/ Tues

Supposed to go dress-shopping with the mother yes :) For the cousin's wedding heeheeheeee.

House: Find out every hospital and clinic he's ever visited, every city he's ever lived in, and... whether he's ever been on TV.
Cameron: TV?
House: Problem could be neurological.
Will you reach out

More lasts today - in the GB context.

It was Sec 4 farewell, and oh my gosh, when I think of the daunting task ahead of our batch to lead the company, I'm like, whoa. However did Batch '09 manage to carry it off so well? I can't even carry out a normal squad time/ have a conversation during lunch, how am I supposed to continue this next year? Huiqing said that I had the ability to make Heralds more, I quote, 'rar-rar during squad time'. Obviously I couldn't do that today - how did Huiqing manage to do it?

Anyway, that aside, I think I'll miss Batch09 a lot. Especially after today's epic farewell (GO BATCH '10) whoo, and appreciating all our seniors (zomg our stupid sashes and the tiaras/hairbands I forgot to give out whoops) with our super-cool item (I GOTTA FEELING WHOOHOOOOOOOOO) and everything, ahh oh man we're gonna be the leading batch :/ :/ :/ Which is scary.

I liked our presents to the Sec4s. Our button bracelets were pretty :)

Okay whatever, now time to say more goodbyes to Sec1s and Classics. I'll miss the classics so bad ): Here come the seven letters!

Oh, on a sidenote, I find ponners damn irritating. I mean, if your entire batch is present it's fine, but if you know that the other half of the batch is ponning already, do you really have to pon? Like, doing it with the tiniest of reasons just pisses me off, because I mean you want your badge, so you need to DO SOMETHING during the actual farewell to get it. So yes thanks Grace Ang (NEED A PUN LIKE 'DESIRE' FOR YOUR NAME NOW) for being so committed most of the time :D

House: Pride and shame apply only to people we have a vested interest in, not employees.

I gotta feeling

Today marked a lot of lasts.

It was mostly in the PSB context, because well, today was Formal Farewell and PSB Night. So I'll list it out, because I guess that's the only way I ever can write it properly.

1. Last GM.
2. Last speech by PSB teachers.
3. Last PAP speech.
4. Last day for singing board songs.
5. Last time eating in school with classics.
6. Last PSB'09 gathering.
7. Last official 103 classics in school context gathering.
8. Last official time with SPSB'09.
9. Last lighting of tea lights (when I cleverly spilt hot wax on myself for the first time, damnit)
10. Last time I'm seeing the PSB heart.
11. Last time I'll see myself in a PSB video - even if it was super unglam.
12. Last time I'll see Xin Ping as an SPSL.
13. Last lame skit for PSB.
14. Last day wearing PSB shirt.
And lastly,
15. Last official day in PSB.

Yes, very sad. I do feel pretty sad, like nostalgic and all right now, because well, PSB Night was just over. But I doubt that given another chance I would apply for SPSB, because I know that it'll be very different from PSB, and I definitely don't regret not applying. I am sad that my PSB journey ends here, but I don't know, maybe I don't want it to continue either, when I experience it firsthand.

But it definitely doesn't mark the end of the many friendships I've forged - especially among my classics. I'll definitely never forget my classics, and I know that we might not be the most bonded group around, but like I said, we're bonded in a quiet way, and I know that no matter what happens, I'll definitely have some people to turn to in PSB. Classics have definitely played an integral role in my PSB life, and hahah though we've only had ONE MGM so far, I think that was good :) MGM2 SOON PLEASE THANKS.

PSB aside, had GB farewell prep today with Heralds. I think it was really fun, and we definitely had fun painting and making button things hahah. (And sneaking into my own classroom to get the STUPIDLY FRAYED sashes too!)

Also, Alanna told me to post this - (Not like I don't want to myself, heeehee)

<lj-embed id="22" />

Westlife is really SO GOOD <3 And this is a cover (which sucks like what the heck, stupid Sony BMG who made them do a cover) but well. I think it's good too.

Nurse: Who are you talking to?
House: My large colon.

Easy as 1, 2, 3

Level Session today was okay. Met Shaun and Rachel at Kallang MRT cos I came from school and the rest were eating there heehee I like Shaun and Rachel :) Anyway aside from that and talking crap and the stupid Shaun saying HELLO UNCLE at the random dude who cycled past, level session was pathetic.

(Sorry Hee Jhun if you see this.)

But well, I really don't need to hear any Joseph Prince propaganda. I don't give a damn if he packed all his 'ten best sermons into one', I don't give a damn about the wonderful standing-ovation reaction the people had to his amazing sermons, I don't give a damn about how he was selected for the leadership panel, and I also don't give a damn about how the stupid woman wanted to marry him.

Truth is, I just couldn't give a damn about Joseph Prince, and I definitely could have spent one hour listening to something better than Joseph Prince propaganda.

The moment I got bored (i.e. one minute into his speech), I started thinking, Oh my gosh, I miss Pastor Rony.

But that's not for Hee Jhun to see. I'm leaving that for another post elsewhere.

Other than that, I used my brother's phone for one day cos he got a new phone, only to be told by the father that NO, I have to do Chinese regularly (every day) and be tested by him etc etc until he returns it to me. I am immensely tired of Chinese.

I hope pizza's for dinner, I like my handwriting (and NO I did not 'intend for it to be artistic', dad), I don't want to go tomorrow damnit I HAVE ENOUGH OF FREAKING JOSEPH PRINCE OKAY SHIT WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG, I HATE THAT DUDE AND I DON'T WANT TO EVER HEAR HIM AGAIN, I hope I can get sneakers tomorrow, and I can't believe I'm going on holiday in four weeks.

House: Hello, sick people and their loved ones! In the interest of saving time and a lot of boring chit chat later, I'm Dr. Gregory House - You can call me Greg.

Down to the ground

Jai Ho fusion dance was amusing. The 12-year-old girl could dance better than practically every single one of us, and we were just standing there making fools of ourselves. And when it came to splitting the cohort in half, 308 gan3 gan3 took the front row whoohoo :D Haha so yes effectively I made a complete mess out of the pretty good dance, cos I forgot the first 8 beats once I learnt the next 8. I know, I dance really well that way.

Ponned ALL the SL workshops. Stayed in class to play stuff heehee, and Naj was being illegal as usual haha. Tried to find MJ chords too but I couldn't find any that were easy enough/ didn't require a capo :/ (Which reminds me, I have to return Vi that pencil I borrowed to use as a temporary and lousy capo.)

What else was there? Oh right, after school Grace A and I rushed like hell to Spotlight to get cloth for Farewell! So haha we managed to buy everything by 1.30pm and we left school at 1.05pm YAY US MAHN :D Haha thanks for coming Grace :) And sorry for rushing you like MAD zomg! I hope you had a nice lunch heehee. Oh but this pissed me off - I found out that I actually didn't friggin need to rush because the tutor cancelled that morning, like what the heck? I mean if you want to cancel tell me the day before so I can do stuff (like watch Love Happens with Grace and Rachel or something) and NOT RUSH like hell just to get something.

(On a sidenote, fabric paint is so bloody expensive.)

Okay off to play the guitar whoo :D

[edit/]
I really cannot stand it when the world is so money-driven. You know, some companies refuse to develop their drug to help cholesterol and high blood pressure because they have to pay so much for the patent and they just don't want to pay that money? I mean it's so irritating - if you want to help people with your company, HELP PEOPLE ALL THE WAY, don't stop just because your company has to pay so much.

House: Try not to be a jerk. I'm trying. I'm just failing.

Go with it/ Jam

I love the Jackson 5.

Anyway, today was Net Carn :) Okay didn't go really really brilliantly well we didn't play great (zomg I sucked) and the opponents were so :/, but I think overall it was fun! And haha our class tee was the most epic, everyone's was so elaborate and had designs all over and ours just went THIS IS 308'S CLASS TEE. Love our class la, and to quote Yin Yi, 'Our class rocks.' I agree <3 Lim BT was funny too haha, his ROAR when he tried to get the ball was epic!

Aside from that, nothing much, aside from James Patterson and his uncanny lack of ability to know how to split chapters - dude, chapters don't just have one page okay, they have a substantial number of pages, e.g. ten or fifteen. (Double Cross is pretty good, though.)

Hmm. What else. Nothing much. Aside from how living with mood-swingy mothers can be so bloody irritating and pissing off. And how batchmates keep ponning - seriously okay, it's your CCA, just live up to that responsibility.

House: Who's the better James Bond, Sean Connery or Daniel Craig? Oh, come on, that's not even a decision.

Burnin' up the quarter mile

I hope class karaoke is going to work out well!

We're gonna have a meeting tomorrow to choreo all the dance stuff and prac the singing, and I really hope those living on the East side make it to the West(life)! And on Tues it's Net Carn, and class outing after that whoo and Mrs Ang and Mrs Yap are coming back!

Also, almost done with badgework - just a couple slides left for the early church section. Bah but Farewell things are BARELY settled omg how am I gonna do this ): And the stupid Chem things that LBE made us do ugh.

Oh, have I mentioned I finished City of Ashes? It was pretty good! Well, the ending anyway. (BEE I STILL INSIST ON CLARY/ SIMON!) I want City of Glass TINGWEI LEND ME NOW! And I'm moving on to Double Cross by James Patterson - I actually don't usually read his books, though. I am also impatiently waiting for Felly's aunt to finish reading Roadside Crosses so I can borrow it from her heh. I've been waiting since June, for Pete's sake!

Will update more later. That was just crap. (I like my Westlife picspam. I've edited the picture sizes.)

Omg today I went to have lunch with the parents and the brother, and while the parents were doing grocery shopping my brother and I went to Popular! We got super bored so we ended up reading super lame magazines and since there wasn't FIRST I read hello instead! And omg I saw the Emmy pictures and seriously, Olivia Wilde (Thirteen in House) is friggin' Regal, Elegant and Classy. My three words for her. Contributed by Ting Wei and Shanxi and myself. Jennifer Morrison (Cameron) is pretty too but she's more of a normal, girl-next door kinda beauty? See see see omg they seriously are so prettyyy!

Cameron:

Thirteen:

House: Unless Chase broke his neck falling off his polo pony, he has no reason to be in the ER.
